This is my favorite part of the market. Yeah it smells a little but you get used to it. The floor is kind of slippery from melted ice and I suggest you wear shoes rather than sandals. It is a little intimidating too because people are packed in like the sardines that are for sale here and you sort of let yourself be pulled along with the crowds. But there is a sort of energy there that is hard to explain with all the shiny fish piled high on the tables and the most incredible collection of voices as the fish merchants yell out their prices, where the fish comes from and what kind of fish they have. |
